Clinics & Services
- Childhood Immunisation Clinic - children are offered vaccinations according to the UK National Immunisation Programme. You will be sent appointments for your child at the appropriate times.
- Child Health Surveillance - you will be sent appointments for your child at the appropriate times.
- Diabetic clinic - Thursday afternoons (by appointment - see GP at normal surgery first).
- Travel appointments - Please see Travel section.
We offer travel vaccinations, anti-malaria tablets and other medication where appropriate. Some travel vaccines, and medication such as anti-malaria tablets, require a private prescription. There are charges for private prescriptions (£10 per item). Please bring cash or cheque - we do not have credit card facilities.
Ideally attend 6-8 weeks before travel (3-6 months for prolonged travel) but come even if time is short. The appointment time for the travel clinic is 20 minutes but if the itinerary is complex, a second visit may be arranged.
If you have any records of previous vaccinations (including childhood and school immunisations), this would be very helpful.
If you are a member of the public and need yellow fever vaccination you can locate centres on the Health Protection Scotland website (www.hps.scot.nhs.uk/yellowfever/locate.aspx)
Well-woman checks, cervical smears, and well-person checks are by appointment with the practice nurse, and family planning services by appointment at routine surgery.
We offer annual reviews for patients with heart disease, stroke, asthma and chronic lung disease (COPD) which are by appointment with the practice nurse. We send an annual reminder.
